at aacs, we are serious about learning, but not only about facts and figures. we're serious about loving our neighbors, respecting each other, and training ourselves to excel in every area; and that means creating opportunities to practice. we have worked hard to create and sustain an environment where doing your best is the norm. our students are active learners and are immersed in a christ-centered school culture where being a compassionate neighbor, an effective communicator, and a responsible steward are just as important as doing your very best academically.
皇冠hg代理体育彩票students at aacs are encouraged to get involved, make friends, and discover their gifts and talents through a wide range of extracurricular activities, sports, arts, clubs and activities, student life activities, retreats, and much more. we have seen first-hand how students who “get involved” have a more well-rounded educational experience. here's how extracurricular activities contribute towards the educational goals and overall experience at aacs:
Relationship Development: Students who participate in extracurricular activities have the opportunity to develop close relationships built upon Christian values. These relationships are essential in the overall mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical health of students. Students can bond together towards a common purpose and passion while building lifelong relationships.
Teamwork: 皇冠hg代理体育彩票Students learn first-hand how their performance, attitude, and involvement contributes to the success of the team.
Leadership Skills: Extracurricular activities provide students with the opportunity to serve in a leadership role, as well as in supporting roles. They learn how to provide guidance to others and how to receive guidance from others.
Time Management Skills: Students who get involved in school activities learn important time management skills in order to keep up with school work while also staying involved in other areas of interest.
21st Century Skills: There is a large body of research surrounding the four Cs of 21st Century Learning: communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. These are skills that employers want to see in the people they hire. AACS faculty work hard to instill these skills in students. However, it is often in the areas of extracurricular activities that these skills are more fully developed and solidified.
Colleges Take Notice: 皇冠hg代理体育彩票College admission officers often consider a student's extracurricular activities when reviewing applications. These activities tell a story about the student that grades cannot.
these are just some of the reasons that we offer a wide variety of activities for our students. options and opportunities increase from lower to middle school and from middle to upper school. for more information please review the campus life and the spiritual life sections of our website as well as our athletic website.
